This beautiful mountain hike on meadows and pastures in the heart of the Puez-Odle nature park runs above Ortisei and S. Cristina

The area around the Col Raiser is known for being one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. The Raiser hut is easily accessible by cable car from S. Cristina. From there, you will enjoy a marvellous panoramic view of the other Dolomite peaks, such as the Sella group, the Sassolungo, Sasso Piatto and many others.
From the mountain station of the Col Raiser cable car (2,100 m a.s.l.) we take path no. 4 leading across meadows and forests towards the Firenze hut, from where path no. 1 takes us to the Seceda peak. After a short but steep ascent, we pass Lake Iman a small mountain lake in the heart of the alpine landscape. At the foot of the western Odle peak stands the Torre Fermeda mountain. Our slightly uphill leading itinerary passes the Troier hut on the Seceda Alp towards west. From here, it is only a short way to the mountain station of the Seceda chair lift at 2,500 m a.s.l.
Having arrived at the top of Mt Seceda and the summit cross at 2,519 m a.s.l. we are delighted with an unequalled panoramic view. Below us we can see Ortisei and the Alpe Rasciesa, on the opposite side the Alpe di Siusi, the Puez and Odle Groups, the Sassolungo and Sasso Piatto, the Sella Group and the Val di Funes with the Odle di Eores and the Sass de Putia. If you want to discover the names of all the mountains visible from here, you can do so by standing right at the centre of the panoramic viewpoint where the names of the surrounding peaks are signed on one of the rings of the circular-shaped panoramic platform. To descend to the mountain station of the Col Raiser cable car, you can take the paths 1A, 2 and 4A. This is a perfect occasion to admire enchanting panoramic views of the Dolomites, a World Heritage Site.
