The Malga Unterpulghütte, open until late October, is the destination of this easy circular autumn hike. Our starting point is the village of Laion

On a beautiful day in October we start our hike in the centre of Laion where we take the wide "Poststeig" path (signpost no. 34) crossing the meadows above the village. We already enjoy a marvellous and extensive view of the village and the Sassolungo. We cross the hamlet of Ceves/Tschöfas and the itinerary leads through the forests and meadows in a coloured autumn landscape.
After a 90-minute walk we reach the Unterpulghütte hut. The autumn sun is warm enough to stay outside. We choose one of the panoramic tables in front of the hut from where we enjoy a spectacular view of the Sciliar and the northern slopes of the Alpe di Siusi. After our lunch break we return to Laion. Instead of retracing our steps, we enter the forest and follow the pleasant path no. 35 which takes us back to the car park, our starting point.
