Albions belongs to the municipal territory of Laion at almost 900 m a.s.l. The village boasts some 300 inhabitants and extends on the east side of the Valle Isarco, opposite Villandro.

In the centre of the neat village, there is its church dedicated to Saint Nicholas. This building dates back to the Gothic period, as the wide range of stylistic elements such as lancet windows and portals reveal. The altar, however, is a Baroque masterpiece.

A further remarkable building, attracting visitors' attention, is the Fonteklaus residence. Originally built as a farm, it has been converted to a hunting castle, while today it hosts a tavern.
