In the Val Gardena, the ski bus is a convenient way to get to the lifts, saving you the stress of traffic and finding a parking space
In winter, special ski buses and the year-round local buses connect the numerous bus stops in Santa Cristina, Selva Gardena and Ortisei with the ski lifts. They run at regular intervals:
- You can buy and validate tickets directly on the bus or online.
- The exceptions are bus routes 352 (Val Gardena Express Plan de Gralba-Ortisei), 353 and 354 (Val Gardena Ski Express Santa Cristina-Plan de Gralba): For these, tickets can only be purchased and validated online.
- Children under 6 travel free of charge.
- Dogs must be kept on a lead and wear a muzzle.
- Due to the high number of passengers, it is not possible to transport bicycles on the buses within the valley (routes 352, 471, 473).
- Anyone travelling without a valid ticket, or with a ticket that does not show a name and date, can expect to face a significant fine.
- The "altoadigemobilità" website and app allow you to search for your desired connection.
Additionally, various taxi companies can take you from one place to another.
As a guest of a partner establishment in the Val Gardena, you will receive the Val Gardena Guest Pass free of charge. It allows you to use all public buses in Val Gardena - with the exception of the Nightbus and the Monte-Pana-Saltria bus - as well as most public transport services in South Tyrol. It's best to ask at your accommodation if they provide the pass.
