Kneipp facility in the Val d’Anna

The Val d’Anna valley near Ortisei is a recreational area with Kneipp facility providing a sense of total relaxation in the beautiful mountain world of the Val Gardena

The Val d’Anna valley, known as starting point for many hikes in the Val Gardena Mountains, for its high-rope course and a playground in the middle of nature, offers a new highlight: a Kneipp facility makes tired feet fit again and stimulates the circulation. The walk into the valley starts at the valley station of the Seceda Cable Car and follows the course of the Rio Anna brook. Past some hammocks and rest areas you’ll reach the Kneipp facility…

In a square made out of wooden trunks you can relax, feel the cold water and breathe the healthy mountain air. To kneipp means to associate body, balance and exercise with the element of water (outdoors). A rather easy but ideal way to get your cardiovascular system pumping, to invigorate blood supply and to purify the body.

The Bavarian priest and forefather of the modern holistic medicine movement, Sebastian Kneipp (1821-1897), is the ideator of the Kneipp concept. He lived after the principle “prevention is better than cure”.
