Golf

Playing golf in South Tyrol is both sports and pleasure, as all golf courses are embedded into a highly fascinating landscape

Each single one is characterised by a particular atmosphere and has its strong points. The golf facilities in South Tyrol are well-manicured and strike the eyes of their visitors above all thanks to their unique location, surrounded by the breathtaking natural mountain landscape. Below a selection for golf enthusiasts.

A 9-hole golf course, PAR 72, can be found in the Golf Club Alta Badia, at the foot of the Sella massif and the Sassongher. Located at 1,700 m a.s.l., it is located only a stone's throw from the centre of Corvara and features an altitude difference of 45 m only. From June to October, a Club House, putting green, driving range and pro are available. Alta Badia best can be reached from the Val Gardena via the Passo Gardena.

Also in the Golf Club St. Vigil Seis, according to experts one of the „most delightful 18-hole golf courses of Italy", you can enjoy playing golf on an idyllic, calm golf course in the heart of the Dolomites at 850 m, playable from April to November. Ponds, gorges, rivers, waterfalls and long fairways, spread on a surface of about 60 hectares, surrounded by a beautiful scenery. The restaurant served warm dishes from 12 to 2.30 pm, there are snacks for the afternoon and from 7 pm, the gourmet cuisine is open. By the way, you can also book golf lessons in the golf school.

Of course there are also other golf courses that can easily be reached from the Val Gardena valley, all ideal for a day trip. These are e.g. the Golf Club Monte San Pietro, Golfclub Passeier in Merano, the Golf Club Lana Brandis and the Golf Club Val Pusteria in Riscone.
