The title "South Tyrolean Hiking Leader/Hiking Guide" (Accompagnatore di Media Montagna / Südtiroler Wanderleiter/Wanderführer) is awarded only to individuals who have successfully completed the prescribed training, passed the subsequent provincial examination (and received the certified provincial badge), and are registered in the special register of South Tyrolean Hiking Leaders and Guides of the Provincial Chamber of Mountain and Ski Guides of South Tyrol.
