The Ciampinoi freeride trail in Val Gardena promises a top-class biking experience at over 2,000 metres above sea level

Above Selva Gardena, a challenging freeride trail awaits mountain bikers. It starts at the top station of the Selva Gardena-Ciampinoi Gondola at an altitude of 2,254 metres. The first 550 metres follow a gravel road before the actual downhill track begins at the Ciampinoi Chairlift.
Over a length of 3.1 kilometres, bikers tackle a vertical drop of 568 metres. The downhill track ends at the Pra Valentini Hut in the district of Plan, which is an inviting spot for a refreshing break. Please note: Helmets, back protectors, and elbow and leg guards are mandatory!

The opening hours correspond to those of the Ciampinoi Cable Car, which provides access to the mountain station and thus the start of the track: It operates every day from early June to mid-October, and day tickets are available at the ticket office at the Ciampinoi valley station.
Season start 2026 on June 6.
