“Freeride Ciampinoi” in the Val Gardena valley - that’s a unique experience on a high-altitude mountain bike trail

Above the village of Selva Gardena in the Gardena Valley there is a freeride trail. It starts at the mountain station of the Selva Gardena-Ciampinoi funicular at 2,254 m a.s.l. (in the picture) and leads downhill along a 550 m long gravel road. At the Ciampinoi chairlift the actual downhill track to the valley starts.
Along the 3 km long track mountain bikers overcome an altitude difference of 568 metres. The downhill track of the Bikepark Ciampinoi finishes at the Pra Valentini Mountain Hut in the locality of Plan (1,592 m a.s.l.), which invites to a stop after the adventurous ride. The ticket for the trail is available at the funicular station and the Selva Gardena tourist office. Wearing a helmet, back pad, elbow and knee pads is compulsory!
