A Choral Friendship Evening
Info
Description
Founded in 1919, Porin Mies-Laulu is one of Finland’s most prestigious male choirs, renowned for its rich tradition and forward-looking artistic vision. With more than a century of uninterrupted activity, the choir has become a cultural cornerstone in Pori and beyond. In this concert, Porin Mies-Laulu will present music that has been specially composed or arranged for the ensemble, thus creating a unique and deeply personal repertoire. This dedication has fostered close collaborations with many composers, starting with our honorary member Selim Palmgren (1878–1951) and continuing with contemporary composers such as Johannes Tiusanen (1977–). The versatile programme ranges from intimate lullabies to bold regional anthems.
