On the famous Seceda ski slope, every year there is the longest giant slalom in the Dolomites - locking horns of a special kind, also for recreational athletes

Every year, Val Gardena - one of the most beautiful valleys of the Dolomites - hosts the so-called Gardenissima, a fascinating event no winter enthusiast should miss! In this occasion professional and amateur skiers alike will have the opportunity to show their skills.

On this day, the longest giant slalom of the Dolomites takes place on the ski runs of the Seceda Mountain. Featuring an altitude difference of 1,033 metres (start: 2,518 m, arrival: 1,485 m), a length of 6 km and a total of 88 gates, the slalom is known as one of the most spectacular and exhausting races all over the Alps.

In addition to the classic race, there is also a children's race and the opportunity to try out the latest racing skis at the Ski Test. Several events accompany the Gardenissima while providing an oh-so special atmosphere both before and after the race.
