At the Uhrerhof in Bulla, the highest situated rose garden of Europe with more than 6,000 rose bushes of more than 250 types is located
At a slope above the Val Gardena, behind the Charme-Hotel Uhrerhof in Bulla, a gorgeous view on a huge sea of blossoms, the village of Ortisei and the peaks of the Dolomites can be enjoyed. In fact, in 2011 a white-rose rosebush was named "Dolomiti".
The terraced rose garden was built in 2009 by the owner Lotte Zemmer. The climbing roses, tea and shrub roses are all described and benches invite to take a rest. The special feature of this colourful garden for sure is its altitude at 1,500 m a.s.l.
Also nice sculptures, crystal balls and formed sayings make the Uhrerhof Rosarium something special. In this unique surrounding - it reminds a bit of the legend of King Laurin and his rose garden - visitors can find quiet and relaxation on a beautiful summer day.
