Mountain rescue service

Saving lives

Founded in 1954, the Val Gardena Mountain Rescue Service consists “only” of volunteers. It collaborates with the helicopter rescue service “Aiut Alpin Dolomites”, which has its headquarters on the Alpe di Siusi, and depends on voluntary donations.

By paying a fee of only € 30 per person – or € 50 per family – you become a supporting member and you will not be charged for any rescue services within the entire Alpine region. Membership passes are available in every bank of Val Gardena, in local mountain guide offices or directly at the headquarters of Alpe di Siusi.
