Die Ladiner

The folk music duo of Val Gardena

Since 1996, Johann and Raffael Stuffer - which by the way are not related to each other - form a successful folk music duo called “Die Ladiner”.

Initially, the two open-hearted and friendly men of Val Gardena gave performances above all at large summer festivals. This changed when one day a music producer from Ortisei asked them whether they were interested in singing at the well-known international Folk Music Grand Prix. So in 2002, the two likeable men took part in the 2002 Folk Music Grand Prix and immediately came second with their song “Allein in Einsamkeit”, a song written by Johann's brother Reinhard Stuffler.

This was the beginning of an amazing career, ranging from countless TV performances to numerous awards and prices. On May 14, 2004 they were for instance rewarded “Musikantenkönig des Monats Mai“, which means they were rewarded Kings of Music for the entire month of May.
