On 5th December, as soon as it gets dark, St. Nicholas, his angels and his servant Ruprecht walk along the village's streets. He enters the homes of children, bringing them gifts, praising them or reproaching them if necessary. St. Nicholas is also accompanied by several devils (Krampusse), but they can't enter the homes and have to wait outside.
