The Val Gardena Sculpture Fair in Ortisei

Every year, the Unika Sculpture Fair takes place in the tennis centre of Ortisei/Roncadizza. For three days local sculptors, barrel painters, gilders and numerous other craftsmen exhibit precious and unique pieces of art.
Take advantage of the opportunity to talk first-hand with the sculptors and gain an insight into the centuries-old sculpting tradition in Val Gardena. And maybe you even buy some piece of art and surprise your loved ones at home with a truly overwhelming souvenir :-)

Unika dates back to the year 1994, when several craftsmen of Val Gardena united and dedicated themselves to the direct selling of unique pieces of art as well as the promotion of young sculptors and talents.

Motifs and styles vary greatly as the artists are allowed to work and express themselves the way the feel like. No limits are set, no restrictions are imposed. What characterises all pieces of art is the fact that they are all hand-carved and handmade. An officially-registered trademark brands all pieces of art.

The unique choice of products provided during the Unika Sculpture Fair is further enhanced by an attractive cultural program.

Unika has been founded in 1994 by several craftsman of Valgardena. Their stated aim is direct marketing of single pieces of art and unique copies as well as the promotion of handicrafts in general.

The art gallery Unika is located in the Typak centre in Roncadizza/Ortisei. In this place pieces of art are displayed on about 500 sqm. Moreover nearly every day there are carving demonstrations and event. The gallery is open from Montay to Sunday (except holidays), every day from 10 to 12 am and from 2 to 7 pm.
