12th Parallel Night-time Skijöring

Carnival time is a crazy time and with it a very special event is scheduled in Vallunga: the Parallel Night-time Skikjöring Race.

Skikjöring is actually the Nordic word for being dragged behind an animal while on skis and this is what a skikjöring race is all about.

On February 14, 2007, at 9 pm 16 courageous contenders will line up for the 12th Parallel Night-time Skikjöring Race and 16 thoroughbred horses will pull them over a distance of 350 metres. Definitely a striking experience for participants and visitors alike!!
