The “Sella Ronda Skimarathon” is an international ski mountaineering night race in the heart of the Dolomites

As its name suggests, the famous "Sella Ronda“ leads all around the impressive Sella Massif. In summer, it is a very popular destination among cyclists, whereas in winter it attracts numerous skiers.

The "Sella Ronda Skimarathon” is a famous ski mountaineering race. Not only the beautiful landscape makes of this event something very special, but also the fact that the race takes place during the night and the athletes, additionally to their touring skis and climbing skins, need to wear headlamps. Moreover, the race is run by teams of two, who have to cover a distance of 42 km and an altitude difference of approximately 2,700 metres. Therefore, this is a race for very experienced and well-trained ski mountaineers only.

The "Sella Ronda Skimarathon“ is alternately hosted by the villages of Corvara, Arabba, Canazei and Selva di Val Gardena, which all lie along the race track. Altogether, this is a very spectacular race, which you definitely should not miss!
