Family hiking tour into the Val d’Anna

The Val d’Anna near Ortisei is a very popular family destination.

On our way to the Val d’Anna we are driving through the wonderful landscape of the Dolomites, passing the Val di Fassa and the Passo Sella. Arrived in Ortisei, we follow the signposts of the Seceda cable car valley station, where we park our car. The trail to the Val d’Anna starts in front of the valley station, leading over a small bridge and finally following the small Anna brook through the forest. It is a comfortable hiking trail with some nice benches and hammocks on its way. After about 20 minutes we cross another bridge and arrive at a huge meadow with playing ground offering both relaxation for adults and a lot of fun for children. Moreover, we are surrounded by a landscape of beautiful flower meadows and the wonderful mountain panorama of the Val Gardena with Mount Seceda and Mount Rasciesa.

Continuing our hiking tour, we follow the trail back into the forest and arrive at the Pauli mountain hut after about 10 minutes. After a short rest and an ice-cream we start our way back. This time we follow the road instead of the forest trail and arrive at our starting point after about 20 minutes. At our left there is a teppee and a high ropes course.

Please note: If you would like to do a longer hiking tour, you can follow trail no. 6 from the Pauli mountain hut to the viewpoint Col de Flam and the St. Jacobs church, built in the 15th century, with its beautiful frescoes and a Baroque altar of the 18th century.
